About the Program
The UFSC Graduate Program in Economics (PPGEco) began its activities in 1995 with the aim of preparing professionals to work in the public and business sectors. Currently, it offers a master’s and a doctoral degree in Economics. The Program’s faculty consists of 16 members with diverse academic backgrounds, who carry out research in “Finance and Capital Markets” and “Globalization and Development”. Admission to the Program takes place annually through specific selection processes for the master’s and doctoral degrees. Approximately 15 students are admitted to the master’s program and five to the doctoral program every year. In the last evaluation by CAPES, the program obtained grade 5.
