Doctoral Degree
The Graduate Program in Economics offers, on average, five seats each year for holders of master’s degrees that have been awarded by national institutions accredited by CAPES or by foreign institutions, provided that the degree has been recognized and is valid for the entire national territory.
Doctoral students must take 50 credits in compulsory and elective courses. A maximum of 24 master’s degree credits can be transferred into the doctoral program. The courses offered in the program are worth four credits, with the exception of the Dissertation Seminar, which is two credits. The maximum period for degree completion is 48 months.
